About the athlete

Michael Churm

Team GB Paralympic Sprinter

Michael grew up in Denton and has Cerebral Palsy which affects his right side. He was inspired to take up athletics by his father who was a club runner. Michael would regularly support his father in road races and with his inspiration in-hand Michael began training hard to pursue his dreams. Michael was consistently ranked in the word top 10 over a period of 10 years and has won various national, European and World medals.
