About the athlete

Antony Cotterill

Team GB Wheelchair Tennis Player

As a kid, Antony was very active. He loved playing many different sports and being on lots of teams. In 2003, Antony had an accident, which left him unable to walk. Since then, he has needed to use a wheelchair every day. When he was recovering from his accident in hospital, he saw a wheelchair tennis game on TV, and it inspired him to give it a go. Antony has now catapulted into a career of winning medals at competitions all over the world! He has won more than 40 singles and doubles titles, has been named World top 5, and has even competed in the Paralympic Games!
